Victoria Beckham's Pixie Haircut

"I've always loved the idea of having a crop," said Victoria Beckham, who had very long hair only a few years previously (see extensions link on left).

After a few years, her pixie replaced her bob. Gerren, Victoria Beckham's hair stylist, said she needed to make a clean break from the radical hairdo: "I had to free her from her previous style and create her own new look."

Since the Posh Bob was called "The Pob," the Posh Pixie has been called "The Poxie"! It seems cheesy, but famous hairstyles do get special names; remember Jennifer Aniston's was called "The Rachel."

Victoria got the pixie or poxie in late 2008. "I felt it was time for a real change," the A-list celebrity told the UK's Mirror, "and I love it!"

Which type of women does this cut suit? Hair experts have said it's suitable for ladies with medium or small heads.

Audrey Hepburn had a similar haircut for one of her movies.
